Illinois Farm Disaster Fund Available to Many Counties

By Drew Adams

Murray, KY – Illinois Governor Pat Quinn says federal relief funds will be available to farmers who suffered losses during this year's spring floods. The West Kentucky Star reports the USDA designated 46 Illinois counties as natural disaster areas. The designation qualifies farmers for assistance such as low interest emergency loans. Governor Quinn says the assistance will help offset losses, allow farmers to cover production costs for next season, and take care of essential family expenses.
