Murray, KY – Average retail gas prices in Kentucky fell just over 9 cents per gallon over the last week, averaging $3.38 a gallon. The website KentuckyGasPrices.com says during the same time, the national average fell a little over 7 cents per gallon to $3.53. Kentucky's average price per gallon of gas is almost 76 cents higher than a year ago, but about 22 cents lower than last month. Gas Buddy dot com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says the lower gas prices may bring some relief to drivers, but warns the market remains extremely sensitive to geopolitical issues.
