Murray, KY – Metropolis officials approved Sunday alcohol sales at its city council meeting Monday. The measure amending the existing alcohol ordinance passed 7 to 1. The change allows the sale of alcoholic beverages from noon to 11:00pm at licensed establishments. Eligible city restaurants must seat a minimum of 50 people and report at least 50% of gross income from food sales. The Paducah Sun reports package sales will remain limited to Monday through Saturday.
