McCracken County Commissioners Vote to Issue $10 Million Dollars in Bonds for New Murray State Paducah Campus

By Shelly Baskin

Paducah, KY – McCracken County is set to issue $10 million in bonds to finance construction of the new Murray State Campus in Paducah. Commissioners voted to approve the bond issuance as part of an inter-local agreement between the city, county, and university. The agreement includes annual appropriations of about $500,000 split between the city and county, and almost $300,000 from the university to be put toward the debt. The Murray State Board of Regents will vote on bond approval in October.
