Murray, KY –
Kentucky Gubernatorial Candidate and State Senate President David Williams is claiming bad press has hurt his bid for Frankfort office. In an interview with the Lexington Herald Leader, Williams attributed his trailing poll numbers to biased journalism throughout the Commonwealth. A recent poll showed Governor Steve Beshear widening his lead to 31 percentage points over his Burkesville rival. Williams says the press has vilified him, using terms such as the 'Burkesville Bully', a moniker Williams claimed isn't used in his hometown. The latest poll numbers come on the heels of William's public statements regarding a suspension of personal and business income taxes as an economic stimulative measure. State elections are scheduled for November 8th.
