Louisville, KY – The Ford Motor Company will add more than 1,000 jobs to produce a new vehicle it's Louisville Assembly Plant. It's part of the four-year tentative contract deal the company reached with the United Auto Workers union. Ford had previously announced it would spend $600 million to retool the plant to produce the Escape sport utility vehicle, creating 1,800 jobs. Ford has not disclosed what type of new vehicle will be produced at the Louisville Plant.
