Murray, KY – Three Kentucky education agencies are working together in a new project that lets high school students earn college credit. The Kentucky Office of Career and Technical Education, the Department of Education and the Community and Technical College System are joining together to offer dual credit opportunities for students in a single agreement. Education and Workforce Development Secretary Joseph Meyer says the programs not only engage students at risk of dropping out but can also inspire all students to attempt more challenging courses. The program will allow more students to earn college credit while in high school. The agreement was one of the recommendations of the Governor's Task Force on Transforming Education in Kentucky.
