Murray, KY – Murray State's College of Business has partnered with State Farm to provide students with a new state-of-the-art tool to practice their trade. The newly opened State Farm Financial Services Resource Center is equipped with modern hardware and software used by finance professionals around the world. College of Business Dean Tim Todd says the center was created to help students gain valuable workplace experience. He says,
"This is a technology rich and an environmental factor rich office environment that when our finance and econ students graduate it's the kind of place where they're going to start working in."
Todd says the center will increase the "economic and financial literacy" of MSU students. The facility is the first of several facilities planned for the College of Business. The second stage is a stock exchange style trading room scheduled to open next summer.
