Kroger Regional Ice-Cream Recall

By Drew Adams

Murray, KY – Kroger is recalling ice cream sold in Kentucky and 9 other states because it may contain peanuts not mentioned on the label. The nation's largest grocery store operator says people with peanut allergies could have serious or even life-threatening reactions if they eat Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks ice cream. The recall involves only 16-ounce pints of the product with a sell-by date of June 18, 2012. The product was sold at Kroger stores in Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois, and seven other states. Kroger says shoppers should return the product to supermarkets for a refund or replacement.
