New Trial Date Set in Home Fire Homicide

By Todd Hatton

Murray, KY – A retrial has been scheduled for a Graves County man charged with burning down a home with the owner inside. Cole Douglas Ross' murder trial of last month ended with a hung jury and a mistrial. Ross is accused of killing Keith Colston in Graves County. Prosecutors at Ross' first trial said Colston was asleep on a couch in his home under the influence of painkillers when the residence burned. Ross' attorney says someone else might have set the fire. Ross remains in jail in lieu of $750,000 cash bond. His new trial is scheduled for March 20th.
