Murray, KY – Paducah singer-songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman and Mayfield artist Helen LaFrance Orr are among those receiving Governor's Awards in the Arts today in Frankfort. Chapman will receive the National Award, presented to a Kentuckian who has achieved national acclaim. 92-year-old Helen LaFrance Orr is a self-taught painter whose works have been shown across the country. The National Quilt Museum in Paducah will receive the Community Arts Award.
