Nortonville, KY – Governor Steve Beshear unveiled Kentucky's newest Interstate-69 segment today, which travels roughly 55 miles from Eddyville to Nortonville. The designation was approved by Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez with the condition that the roads used in the route are brought up to interstate highway standards. Highway officials say contracts for the improvements should be announced next Monday. The newly designated I-69 will eventually reach from Henderson to the Tennessee border at Fulton.
