Murray, KY – Members of western Kentucky's Amish community who have refused to put slow-moving emblems on their horse-drawn buggies are facing charges in a third county. Four people have been cited in Logan County. A hearing in the matter is scheduled for today. The Amish are part of a conservative sect that avoids bright colors and appearances of modernity and have refused to use the bright red-orange triangle. Members of the Amish community have also been cited in Graves and Grayson counties. The Amish in Graves County have challenged the law and are asking the Kentucky Supreme Court to hear their appeal.
