Murray, KY – Work on the US 68/KY 80 Lake Barkley Bridge will continue throughout this weekend. Traffic will be reduced to one lane over the bridge and motorists should expect minor delays of no more than five minutes. Commercial traffic and any vehicles wider than seven and a half feet are prohibited from crossing the span. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says some commercial traffic has attempted to cross the span in spite of the restriction and have created an unsafe working environment. Local and state police have increased patrols to catch violators of the work zone restrictions.
