Palin Endorses P'Pool

By Gary Pitts/Gabe Bullard/Phillip Bailey

Frankfort, KY – Former vice presidential candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is the latest Republican to publicly back Kentucky Attorney General candidate Todd P'Pool. Palin recorded a robocall for the Hopkins County Attorney, in which she claims P'Pool will fight President Barack Obama's healthcare overhaul law and federal regulations. In the spot though, Palin mispronounces P'Pool's name.

"Hello, this is Governor Sarah Palin urging you to vote for Todd Puhpool for Attorney General. Todd Puhpool is a common sense conservative."

P'Pool's campaign released a statement saying it's happy to have her endorsement in the race against incumbent Democrat Jack Conway. With Republican gubernatorial candidate David Williams expected to lose to incumbent Democrat Steve Beshear in a landslide, the Attorney General's race has been the focus of many out-of-state conservatives. Former Presidential candidates Rudy Giuliani and Mike Huckabee have also campaigned for P'Pool, who trails Conway by double-digits in recent polls.
