Murray, KY – Kentucky's Capitol chapel is getting a makeover. Crews have completely gutted the room and plan to start from scratch. Democratic Representative Martha Jane King is working with several others to get the job done before the next legislative session begins in January. King says the renovations will include a new floor, a new ceiling, fresh paint and updated lighting. The pews were also removed so they could be refurbished at the Department of Surplus Properties. King says the project is being paid for with donations.
