Murray, KY – Murray State University's Racer 1 and jockey Tim Busse suffered minor injuries during Saturday's game against Austin Peay. Busse says following Murray State's first touchdown in the first quarter, Racer 1 lost her footing and fell on the second turn of the track. The horse suffered a cut requiring staples. She can be ridden again once the staples are removed. Busse suffered damage to his shoulder ligaments but reported no broken bones. Busse and Racer 1 are both expected to make a full recovery.
