Murray, KY – The US Coast Guard and local inspectors have given the Eggner's Ferry Bridge a clean bill of health after being struck by a towboat. The KY 80/ US 60 span over Kentucky Lake was struck by the tow boat, Miss Kate Tuesday evening. Officials closed the bridge for inspection immediately following the incident and have now verified the span is structurally sound. No one was hurt in the incident and the tow boat suffered minor damage.
