Hopkinsville Police Officer Resigns After DUI Arrest

Hopkinsville, KY – A Hopkinsville Police Officer arrested last week has resigned from the department this morning. The Christian County Sheriff's Department arrested Officer Timothy Leyenaar last Thusday morning on charges of Driving Under the Influence. Leyenaar was suspended after his arrest pending a department investigation. Due to Leyenaars resignation, HPD Chief Guy Howie says there will no longer be an internal affairs investigation.
