Murray, KY – Paducah and McCracken County Officials are finishing plans for public forums to discuss a possible city county merger. The forums are slated to be at four high schools in the county. The meetings will include a summary of the current plan followed by public comment. The Paducah Sun reports Officials voted to withhold the proposed merger from the recent 2011 ballot in order to engage the community and offer opportunity for public concern to be voiced. Plans will be public once County Judge Executive Van Newberry signs off on the plans.
