Murray, KY – A well known Commonwealth lawyer is no longer an employee of the state's bar association. The Kentucky Bar Association's chief disciplinary counsel, Linda Gosnell was fired by the Association late last week. Gosnell is well known throughout the state for investigating a highly publicized fen-phen scandal. She also procured several high profile disbarments of lawyers across the state. Gosnell served in the position since 2003. The Louisville Courier Journal reports the firing may be linked to a recent Judge's order for an investigation of money collected from disbarred lawyers in the fen-phen trial. Both the KBA and Gosnell have refused to speak to media outlets about the firing.
