Murray, KY – The Kentucky Court of Appeals has overturned an almost 2 and a half million dollar restitution order against a man convicted of setting fire to Carlisle County's courthouse. The court overturned the order against 23-year-old Jeremy Ellis citing inaccurate property assessment used in levying the restitution order. Ellis is currently serving more than 30 years in the Green River Correctional Complex and won't be up for parole until 2034. The Paducah Sun reports the hearing to re-evaluate the property value and order restitution is scheduled for February 16th.
