Paducah, KY – The City of Paducah has come to an agreement with environmental groups to move its Riverfront Development Project. The City is amending its Phase I contract with JJR LLC for the project to relocate 500 feet downstream where fewer endangered mussels live. The move requires some amendments to the engineering design. Engineer-Public Works Director Rick Murphy says the move shouldn't cost more than $125,000. Groundbreaking for the project is scheduled for June 2013 and is expected to be completed by 2014.
