Mt. Vernon, IL – Illinois Circuit Judge Stephen McGlynn says he'll run for a seat on the 5th District Appellate Court, which serves 37 counties including Massac, Alexander and Pulaski. The Republican judge previously served on the Appellate Court by State Supreme Court appointment in 2005. Seven judges make up the 5th district, each serving a 10 year term. McGlynn faces no challengers thus far on the Republican ticket.
