Murray, KY – The Ballard County board of education named Casey Allen as interim superintendent in a special meeting Monday. Allen succeeds Ed Adami, superintendent since 2004 who passed away Friday. Ballard County schools were dismissed district-wide Monday for Adami's funeral. Allen served as the district supervisor of instruction before taking the interim superintendent role. Prior to his work at the District Office, Allen was principal at Ballard County Middle School from 2003 to 2010. Allen is a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and received his bachelor's from the University of Kentucky. He also holds a master's degree from Murray State University.
