Murray, KY – We have a flood watch in effect for our region until 6 this evening. There is also a flood warning in effect for Calloway, Lyon, and Trigg counties in western Kentucky until 2 p.m. Officials have also issued a flash flood warning for Stewart County, Tennessee until 10 this morning. This is due to a line of rain moving northeast through the area. Murray has received close to two inches, and weather observers in Paducah report over and a half inches fell there Sunday, passing a record set in 1952. Meteorologist Beau Dodson says well over three and a half inches have fallen in southern Illinois since the rain began there Sunday morning. National Weather Service forecasters say the region could see another one to three inches today.
