Murray, KY – The Paducah-McCracken County Convention Center Corporation, which oversees operations at the Julian M. Carroll Convention and Paducah Expo centers, has ironed out details of a $60,000, six-month operations contract with the Luther F. Carson Center. The Paducah Sun reports the county Fiscal Court and the city commission signed off on the details Tuesday. The six-month contract charges the CCC $10,000 a month for Carson Center staff to provide regular administrative and support services, along with some marketing. The Paducah Convention and Visitors Bureau has agreed to pay half of the $60,000 contract to help contribute to the financially handicapped centers. Convention Center Board Chairman Jim Sigler says he expects the contract will be officially approved at their board meeting tonight.
