Murray, KY – The Murray State Racers have broken into the ranks of the country's top 25 college basketball teams. The 10-0 Racers are now 24th in the Associated Press poll, their highest ranking since 1971. The Racers are coming off a big win last night against the Memphis Tigers. MSU first year Head Coach Steve Prohm says he's proud of his team's effort.
"Everybody was so locked in. It was a great team win and I can't say enough. I'm really proud of these guys."
Last night's win knocked the Tigers out of the top 25, they were previously ranked 21st. The win gives the Racers best start since 1998, which is the last time they were ranked in the top 25. The Racers return home for a pair games at the CFSB Center later this week before beginning conference play next week at home against UT Martin.
