Frankfort, KY – Kentucky 4th Congressional District Representative Geoff Davis says he will not seek reelection next year. The Republican has served the 4th District since 2005. Davis said in a statement posted to his website that he plans to devote more time to his family. State Senator Jack Westwood says he expects no shortage of candidates lining up to capture the congressional seat. Despite having a majority of registered Democrats, the northern 4th District has traditionally voted Republican. Westwood says the eventual GOP nominee should have very little trouble picking up the seat.
