Murray, KY – McCracken County officials say they are still waiting for funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for damage done by the spring flooding. County Emergency Management Director Paul Carter says around $220,000 dollars of an expected nearly $370,000 dollars in funding has come in at this point. He says most individual assistance claims have come in at this point, totaling around $4.8 million dollars in McCracken County alone. While officials wait for last spring's funds to trickle in, they also face challenges from recent heavy rain, and are preparing for the possibility of more severe weather next spring.
