Frankfort, KY – It's mixed news for gasoline prices headed into this holiday week. Petroleum Analyst Patrick Dehann says much of American can expect fuel prices higher this Christmas than any other. But in Kentucky gas prices have dropped on average of 9.1 cents per gallon over the last week. Kentuckians pay an average of $3.09/g. That's better than the national average of $3.23/g. In the short term the drop in prices is good news but, Dehann says current Kentucky prices are still 20.1 cents per gallon higher than the same day last year.
