Madisonville, KY – Madisonville City Councilman Dallas Cunningham announced he will resign from his seat at the end of the month during last night's council meeting. Health issues have prevented Cunningham from attending meetings the last few months as the representative of Ward 1. The Madisonville Messenger reports Cunningham has served as a city councilman since his election in 2000. Mayor David Jackson says the city council will have a special meeting to choose a replacement for the rest of Cunningham's term, which ends next December.
