Salem, KY – Livingston Hospital and Healthcare Services is being considered for Level IV Trauma Care certification. The level IV designation indicates the hospital is capable of providing the highest level of care for injured patients. The Kentucky Trauma Advisory Committee is recommending verification of the hospital to the state's Commissioner of Health. Livingston Hospital was examined by an on-site review by a team to have met requirements in four separate trauma care categories. If approved, this will be the first hospital in Western Kentucky to become a Level IV Trauma Center, second in the state.
