Murray, KY – National Weather Service Meteorologist Jim Packett says in the 14 years he's followed weather patterns in this region, he's only seen two white Christmases- 2004 and 2010. Packett says there's only about a 15 % chance of the Jackson Purchase seeing 1+ inches of snow this Christmas. But, he says, a weather system in the Southeast may reach into the area.
"You'll be closer to the storm that Paducah, being in Murray. But again, it doesn't look good at all. I don't think we're going to have any snow within our county warning area at this point."
Clarksville area residents have the best chance of seeing flurries. For more regional weather information, visit www.noaa.gov.
