Murray, KY – A western Kentucky man faces a murder charge after a highway crash outside of Princeton this morning that killed his passenger. 25-year-old Jeffery Alfred of Dawson Springs is charged with murder, second-offense DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and failing to render aid after a crash. The passenger, 28-year-old Thomas Redden, also of Dawson Springs, died today after being taken to the Caldwell County Medical Center. State Police say Alfred's pickup truck went out of control on KY 672, left the road and hit a tree. Alfred was not injured, and is currently being held in the Caldwell County Jail.
