Murray, KY – Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear delivers the annual State of the Commonwealth speech tonight to a joint session of the General Assembly. Since his re-election in November, Beshear has been previewing some of the issues he will raise this evening. He is expected to talk about his longstanding proposal to legalize more forms of gambling and about his push to increase the drop-out age for students from 16 to 18. Beshear could also use the occasion to make a pitch to reform the state's tax code, a proposal he's been talking about in recent weeks. WKMS will carry the governor's address live tonight at six.
