Madisonville, KY – The parents of a deceased Hopkins County jail inmate are suing the jail and others for negligence in the death of their son. Tyler Butler's parents allege the jail and medical staff's "deliberate indifference" to their son's medical conditions was responsible for his April 2011 death. Butler died three days after he was brought to the jail. The jail's staff and other defendants have denied all wrongdoing in the case. The Madisonville Messenger reports Butler's parents are seeking damages for pain and suffering and the loss of income from his death.
