The Humane Society of Calloway County is accepting donations of Christmas decorations, linens, mugs, and dishes for use at its Bazaar fundraiser next year. Also needed are donations of extra wrapping items such as curling ribbon, wired ribbon, and cellophane. Bring donations to the Weaks Center Monday through Thursday from 10 to 3.
The Governor's Garden Initiative is designed to encourage community organizations in Kentucky to cultivate their own gardens to educate people about the benefits of gardening. The Friends of the McCracken County Public Library Winter Used Book sale is tomorrow from 9 to 7 and Saturday from 9 to 1 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church gym. The sale features a collection of over 15,000 books and audiovisual items, with proceeds benefiting the library.
