Datebook: September 15 - Touch a Truck, Soprano & Pianist Recital, Paintings/Props/Intermediaries

Paducah Parks Services hosts “Touch a Truck” Thursday morning from 10 to noon in the parking lot by the Farmers’ Market. Kids, teachers, and families, can see and touch approximately two dozen types of vehicles, including a helicopter, fire truck, ambulance, tow truck, concrete mixer, dump truck, police car, and more. The event is free. 

Soprano Kate Rawls and pianist Mei-En Chou give a guest artist recital Thursday night at 7:30 in Mabry Concert Hall at Austin Peay State University. The program features works by J.S. Bach, Amy Beach, Gabriel Faure, and Ben Moore. The recital is free and open to the public.

The Murray State University Department of Art & Design presents the work of Bruce Wilhelm in an exhibit titled “Paintings/ Props/ Intermediaries.” The exhibit opens tomorrow and remains on display through October 14 on the sixth floor of the Price Doyle Fine Arts Building. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 8 to 4:30.
