The McCracken County Cooperative Extension Office hosts “Effective Communication Strategies” this Wednesday from 12:30 to 3:30. The event helps family members learn to connect with people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias using attitude, tone of voice, facial expressions, and body language. The Mayfield-Graves County Needline & Food Pantry Community Yard Sale is now accepting donations. No clothing is being accepted, but drop off other yard sale items from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and from 3 to 8 Thursdays at the small building to the right of the old Gotham City store in the Mayfield Shopping Plaza. The sale is set for September 26.
