Confederate Monument in McCracken Co. Vandalized

McCracken County Sheriff's Department

A Confederate monument in McCracken County has been vandalized. 

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says the Confederate soldier statue on Benton Road near Traders Mall was pushed over sometime Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning. A police report estimates the damage at $1,800 dollars. The Sons of Confederate Veterans owns the property and statue.

The Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone with information pertaining to the investigation to contact them at 270-444-4719.
