The Pennyroyal Arts Council is delaying the season opening at the Alhambra Theater in downtown Hopkinsville due to ongoing renovations.

The nonprofit group said today all "LIVE at the Alhambra" acts remain the same except for the Jaimee Paul and Leif Shires show, which has been moved to December 28. Patrons who have already purchased season passes should watch their mail for new tickets.

Executive Director Margaret Prim said that the Alhambra team is working on renovation details and looks forward to patrons seeing the result.

Renovations include new seats in the auditorium, a new elevator and a new, smaller venue on the second floor called 'The Hall at the Alhambra.'

The upcoming season also includes The Jive Aces, The Secret Sisters and Rhiannon Giddens.
