The fourth and final defendant in a Hopkinsville sexual assault case involving a minor has accepted a plea agreement.

Attorney General Andy Beshear said in a news release Monday that 22-year-old Dayton Jones has entered a plea before Christian Circuit Judge John Atkins. Jones was scheduled for a jury trial today.

Jones agreed to a 15-year sentence for first-degree sodomy, first-degree wanton endangerment and distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. He must also register as a sex offender.

Three co-defendants in the case entered plea agreements last week. The four men were sentenced for the sexual assault of a 15-year-old boy at a party in 2014.

Jones’ final sentencing is November 1.
