The McCracken County Board of Education is looking to add e-cigarettes to it’s tobacco policy as national studies are finding teenagers are more likely to reach for them as opposed to traditional cigarettes.
The board policy changes heard at Thursday’s meeting include a ban of all types of tobacco including vapor products on all board owned or operated facilities. That will include sporting events, and the policy applies to all students, employees and visitors.
The board took no action since it requires a second reading to take a vote.
