Hopkins County Police arrested two men Saturday on charges of kidnapping and intimidating a witness after two alleged victims say they were kidnapped, bound and placed in a pit last week.
Police said the two alleged victims, a man and a woman, told them that Dustin and Danny Massey kidnapped them at gunpoint and threatened them for hours at their property. Police said the alleged victims were bound and placed in a pit at the Masseys' property, where the alleged victims were also shown homemade explosive devices.
Police said a warrant issued to search the Masseys' property found explosive devices along with evidence of the alleged kidnapping. Police said there may be more charges.
Police said Dustin Massey was a suspect in a crime previously reported by one of the alleged abducted victims. The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about this alleged abduction to call their office.
