WK&T purchased former Mid-Continent University earlier this year and is turning the 53-acre site into mixed-use development. CEO Trevor Bonnstetter says the project’s renovation stages are wrapping up. He says the cooperative is recruiting employers and hopes to expand the region’s workforce as early as this spring.

“Over the last year as we went out and started slowly promoting the property we’ve had anywhere from banks to look at the property, sales companies, one of the largest data processing companies in the nation, representatives from the healthcare industry, retail sector, food industry,” said Bonnstetter.

Bonnstetter says the park is expected to have an annual economic impact of $115 million and create more than 900 high-wage tech jobs.
