In a past life, Schwartz was a Washington telecom lawyer. He got his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and his B.A. from the University of Michigan ("Go Blue!").

Jade Aubrey is a Public Affairs Reporting (PAR) student in the School of Communication and Media at the University of Illinois-Springfield. The program trains students to become journalists who specialize in news coverage of governmental affairs.

Michael is a Shelby County native and 2023 graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he earned a degree in journalism. Before joining WKU Public Radio, he served as an education reporter for the Bowling Green Daily News through the Report for America program.
