ROBERTS/FERRET: A TEN-YEAR EFFORT BY WILDLIFE EXPERTS TO BRING THE WESTERN BLACK-FOOTED FERRET BACK FROM THE EDGE OF EXTINCTION IS ON THE VERGE OF SUCCEEDING, BUT THE GOVERNMENT HAS DECIDED TO ELIMINATE THE PROGRAM.
