Hopkinsville Breaks Ground on New Municipal Center

City of Hopkinsville

Hopkinsville breaks ground tomorrow on the city’s new municipal center. The Hopkinsville City Council recently authorized $8.2 million to fund the project. Administrative Coordinator Nikki Radford says the new downtown location will house the city’s administrative offices, as well as the community development council and the Hopkinsville Human Relations Commission. The Hopkinsville Police Department will move to the current municipal building. Radford says plans for the old police department location are still in the works. State and local officials will be on hand for the groundbreaking ceremony at 5:15 p.m. The municipal center will take around a year and a half to complete.
