An app designed to stop texting and driving is getting the attention of law enforcement officials in Kentucky. WKYT-TV reports that authorities are praising ‘LifeSaver,’ which blocks a phone's screen while driving, as a tool that can prevent car accidents.
LifeSaver Director of Marketing James Howell says the app connects with a phone's GPS and blocks the screen as soon as a car goes in motion.
Woodford County Sheriff Wayne Wright says he will present the app to the Kentucky Sheriff's Association board meeting next month and hopes for their support.
